Jerome "Jerry" Baer

Jerome Baer passed away on Friday, July 10, 2026. He was born on September 14, 1935, to the late Francis and Ethel Baer.

Jerry served in the National Guard for three years

Over their 59 years together Jerry and Ginger have enjoyed motorcycling, flying their plane, and sailing to the North Channel and Georgian Bay in Canada.

Jerry met Virginia “Ginger” nee Gibson, in 1967, and were married January of 1975.

Survivors include his sister Elaine (John) Radke, of Appleton, his brother James Baer of Appleton, daughters Patricia Flynn, of Dublin, OH, Dianne Brown, of Baldwin Park, CA, granddaughter Michelle Brown of Baldwin Park, CA, a niece Michelle Mayo (Steve), nephews Brian Hoelzel (Linda) and David Hermes (Terri).

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a nephew Scott Hermes; great-nephew, Tyler Hoelzel; brothers and sisters-in-law: Wayne and Shirley Hoelzel, David and Sandy Hermes, Gerald and Sharon Gibson, and David Dettlaff.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at Neenah’s Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the service.

The family would like to thank the ThedaCare Hospice team for the love and care they have given Jerry over the last several months. A special thank you to Luke and Stephanie who gave amazing care to Jerry.
