Jerome "Jerry" Baer

I had the pleasure meeting Jerry and Ginger along with John and Elaine during our January visit. I went home from that trip feeling encouraged and blessed to be part of Patti's cherished past. She loved her father beyond imagination. She gets her storytelling from Jerry. Haha. He told of us of many fun stories from the years when they were young. The corvettes, motorcycles, airplanes, traveling, oh my! Haha. So much adventure and fun on this side of heaven! He reminded me so much of my own grandfather! I was so privileged to be able to pray with and over Jerry and Ginger one night after we had a wonderful dinner. He didn't say much but I think everyone was at peace. I come from a family of Jesus followers and Jerry knew a little about that. Ginger thanked me when all was said and done. I just pray I will see him again one day in eternity! Rest in peace Jerry! I'm reminded today of Jesus preaching on the sermon of the mount. Mount Beatitudes. Here's part of his teaching. I pray it blesses any one who reads this, as it does me! Matthew 5:3-12 [3] “God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. [4] God blesses those who mourn, for they will be comforted. [5] God blesses those who are humble, for they will inherit the whole earth. [6] God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice, for they will be satisfied. [7] God blesses those who are merciful, for they will be shown mercy. [8] God blesses those whose hearts are pure, for they will see God. [9] God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God. [10] God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. [11] “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. [12] Be happy about it! Be very glad! Thank You for being the Dad you were. Beautiful memories remain throughout my Dad’s life, but his last year of his life remains some very special lasting memories with Him and Ginger, Family and Friends. May you rest in peace. I will always cherish spending time with Jerry, Ginger, Jerry’s daughter Patti and dear friend Tina. We got to visit Neenah twice this year. Once in January and again in April. Memories were made that will never be forgotten. Jerry has an amazing train set. When we visited in January it wasn’t running. He made sure when we returned in April that all systems were a go. How fun it was to watch him operate the train. I will never forget the smile on his face when he blew the train whistle. I will forever be grateful that we all had this time together. It was a beautiful thing seeing the love between Jerry’s daughter Patti and her beloved dad. Rest in peace Jerry. It was an honor and absolute pleasure spending time with you and becoming “family”.

I Miss you, Dad I thought of you with love today, but that is nothing new. I thought of you yesterday, and days before that too. I think of you in silence. I often speak your name. All I have are memories and your pictures in a frame. Your memory is my keepsake with which I'll never part. God has you in His keeping and I have you in my Heart ❤. Love You Always, Patti
