JEAN BATTERMAN

Jean Lousie Batterman, age 96 of Neenah, passed away Monday, September 1, 2014. She was born January 21, 1918 in Mondovi, WI, daughter of the late Mona and Cass Snoyenbos. In 1944, she married Marlon Batterman, who preceded her in death in 1963. Jean was a Mondovi High School graduate who earned her teaching degree from Stout Teachers College. She taught Home Economics in Shell Lake, Wild Rose and Neenah and also worked for Farm Security Association, the University of Michigan, and Oshkosh Vocational School. She was a very active member of First United Methodist Church in Neenah for many years. Jean is survived by her two sons: Brent and Steven (Nancy); and three grandchildren: Nathan, Ian (Angie) and Halynn. A memorial service for Jean will be held at 11:30 A.M., Friday, September 5, 2014 at First United Methodist Church, 108 W. Doty Ave., Neenah. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
