RICHARD LOPAS

Richard W. Lopas, age 83 of Neenah, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2013 surrounded by his family at his home. He was born November 6, 1929 to the late Arthur and Katherine (Meyer) Lopas in Menasha and served in the Korean Conflict from 1953 to 1955. On his birthday in 1975, he married Myrna McKenna. Richard will always be remembered as a proud Army Veteran and an avid Packer fan by his loving wife, Myrna; his daughter, Sandra (Richard Rhode); step-daughters: Karen Suprise; Melody Bowen; Barbara (Robert) Bell; Mary (David) Hill; and Loretta Jones; his 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his sister, Vida Schmidt; and nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by a son; a daughter, Susan Hoelzel; several brothers and sisters and their spouses, and three nephews. A memorial service for Richard will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, June21, 2013 at Whiting Baptist Church, 1020 Tullar Rd., Neenah. Visitation will be at church from 1:00 P.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Richards name.
