EUGENE ROBINSON

Eugene F. Robinson, Rooster Rob , age 93, of Menasha, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2009, at his home. He was born July 11, 1915, in Olney, Illinois; the son of Burl and Pearl (Williams) Robinson. Rob grew up in Illinois, and moved to Milwaukee. He entered the United States Army, and served our country during World War II. He was united in marriage to Marcia A. Eckholm on October 26, 1944, in Reno, Nevada. The Robinsons moved to the Fox Valley, and Rob was employed for many years at the American Can Company. Rob enjoyed trap shooting, was an avid hunter, and was on the ground floor when the Twin City Rod and Gun Club formed. Robs family meant everything to him. Survivors include his daughters: Pamela Gregory (Shelly), Menasha, Nancy Deering and Rosemarie (Larry), of Michigan; his sister, Doris (Charlie) Weaver, Olney, Ill; his brother-in-law, Edward Miller, Appleton; his grandchildren: Mike (Jodi) Mueller, Menasha, and Kary (Michelle) Mueller, Milwaukee; and his very special great granddaughter, Lydia; two nephews, Tom (Judy) Miller, Seymour, and Loren (Barbie) Miller, Menasha; and other relatives and friends. A Memorial Service for Rob will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, Neenah, with Father Larry Canavera officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m Wednesday until the hour of service in the Shrine of Heaven Chapel. Inurnment will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Rooster Robs honor may be sent to the American Cancer Society, 3311 So. Packerland Dr., DePere, WI, 54115.
