MAURINE LANGOHR

Maurine Aubuchon Langohr, age 99, passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Heritage Woods. She was born March 24, 1910 in DeSoto, MO, daughter of the late Ansel and Laura AuBuchon. She married Al Langohr; he preceded her in death in 1985. Maurine has been a Heritage Woods resident since 1988 after moving here from Moline, IL. She was previously a long term resident of Burlington, IA. She was an active member of the Presbyterian churches in both Moline and Burlington. She was a board member of the YWCA and Kings Daughters, both of Burlington; and a lifelong member of PEO. During WWII she joined her husband at the Panama Canal; he was chief project engineer for the 3rd set of locks which were never completed. Survivors include two sons: Larry (Suzie) Langohr, Neenah, Alan (Kirsten) Langohr, Wayzata, MN; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara, and a sister, Georgia. Private family services will be held on Saturday. Interment will be in Moline Memorial Park, Moline, IL.
