RICHARD BOEGH

Richard N. “Whitey” Boegh, age 89, passed away at Peabody Manor on Saturday, October 8, 2016. He was born on August 10, 1927 the son of the late Fred and Emma (Fahrenkrug) Boegh.  Whitey married Doris Beimborn on June 21, 1952.  She preceded him in death on April 2, 2002.  Whitey proudly served in the U.S. Army.  He was a truck driver for Menasha Corporation until his retirement.  He loved going to the cottage, traveling in his motor home, swapping at the car shows, gardening and spending time with his grandkids.  He will be most remembered for his contagious laugh and great sense of humor.  He always had a joke handy, even in his last days.  He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah. 

A loving husband, father and “papa” he is survived by his son Scott Boegh; daughter Tammy (Rick) Michalkiewicz; three grandchildren:  Amanda Boegh (fiancé Jesse); Alex and Cody Michalkiewicz; two great-grandchildren:  Ethan and Eva; three sisters-in-law:  Pauline (Duane) Schultz; Marlene (Al) Wohlers; Phyllis Beimborn; and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and a brother-in-law:  Richard Beimborn. 

Funeral services will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak Street, Neenah with Rev. Tony L. McKenzie officiating.  Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service. 

Whitey's family would like to extend a special thanks to the angels at Peabody Manor - Birch Cottage for their loving care over the last five years and to the staff of Theda Care Hospice for their care during his last days.
