DOLORES BOEHM

Dolores Marie “Midge” (Kuehneman) Boehm, age 96, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 11, 2018, at the Valley VNA.  She was born on July 30, 1921, in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late George and Dora (Julius) Kuehneman.  Midge married Howard C. Boehm on September 30, 1940, and they made Neenah their home until his passing in 1998.  Four years later Midge moved to Austin, TX, to be near family but returned to Neenah to make the Valley VNA her home.

Midge played an active role in her children's and grandchildren's lives.  She was a Girl Scout leader and spent endless hours sewing her children's dance costumes.  Midge enjoyed golfing and playing bridge, attending home Packer football games and spending hours with her knitting and hand work.  She was active at Our Savior's Lutheran Church where she counted the weekly offering for nearly forty years and at Boehm's Market where she handled the accounting.

Midge is survived by her daughters: Mary Jo (Stephen) Stilp, Austin, TX, Catherine (Jack) Melk, Estero, FL; a daughter-in-law, Jane Bowman Boehm, Waupaca; as well as by her grandchildren: Allison (D.J.) Homan, Cincinnati, OH, Andrew (Sue) Boehm, Cincinnati, OH, David (Dale) Melk, Cincinnati, OH, Coby (Alison) Stilp, Austin, TX, Amy Melk Doane, Atlanta, GA, Kara (Barry) Griffin, Leesburg, VA, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Boehm, Columbus, OH; and her great-grandchildren: Riley, Jake and Josie Homan, Alex, Lucy, Kevin, Parker and Reagan Boehm, Haley and Hunter Stilp, Braxton, Chance and Ella Sloane Griffin, George and Amanda Doane.  Midge was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; a son, Todd Boehm; brother, Don (Joyce) Kuehneman; brother-in-law, State (Dorothy) Boehm; and a sister-in-law, Lucille Larson.

A Memorial Service will be held later this spring.  Midge will be laid to rest beside her husband at Oak Hill Cemetery, Neenah.  In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Valley VNA, ThedaCare at Home Hospice, or Our Savior's Lutheran Church in her name.
