Obituary
Frank John Borofka, age 93 of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Bridges of Appleton. He was born February 24, 1923 in Brown County, Town of Preble, Green Bay, WI to the late John and Gertrude (Kaster) Borofka.
Frank married Leona Krueger on September 23, 1950 at Christus Lutheran Church in Clintonville. He worked at the C.C.C. Camp at Mountain, WI and enlisted in the Army Air Force (1942 to 1946) and served in Guam in the South Pacific with the 20th Air Force Bomber group as an airplane mechanic.
Frank worked for Kimberly Clark, Lakeview Mill from 1950 to 1983. Frank was a charter member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Neenah where he was on the Steering Committee, Church Council, usher, greeter, and a counter. He also belonged to Retire Club 482, Fox Valley Labor Council, and was a Quarter Century member of Kimberly Clark. He loved gardening, flowers, wood crafting, polka dancing, playing cards, hunting and fishing.
Frank is survived by a daughter, Joy Case, Neenah; two grandchildren: Jeremy Case (special friend Jenny Reese), Winneconne; Jennifer Case, Neenah; and a sister, Anne (George) Olson, Solon, OH; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Leona, on March 23, 2016; parents; sister, Marie (Louis) Heaney, Racine; brother, Albert (Rose) Borofka, Halifax, MA; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Leonard (Betty) Krueger; Alma (LeRoy) Hansen, Clintonville; Dorothy (John) Tietz; and Clarence Michaud, Bradenton, FL.
The Funeral Service for Frank will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 140 S. Green Bay Rd., Neenah, Rev. Dennis Ellison officiating. A visitation will be held at church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Neenah.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established at St. Mark's Lutheran Church.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Fresenius Dialysis Center in Neenah, and The Bridges of Appleton, for all their care and compassion.
