ROGER BRAMM

Roger W. Bramm, of Neenah, age 91, died Thursday, November 27, 2014, at Cherry Meadows Hospice after a brief illness, surrounded by his family. He was born September 8, 1923 in Wausau, WI, son of the late William and Eunice (Millard) Bramm. Roger attended local schools in the Wausau area. He then served in the US Marine Corps from 1942 to 1945 and currently was a member of the Neenah American Legion Post #0033. Roger married Alvina Gorski at St. Ladislaus Church in Bevent, WI, on October 21, 1950. Roger started his working career in Wausau and then moved to Milwaukee where he worked until 1968 when he moved to Neenah to work for Glatfelter Paper Co. until his retirement in 1988. Roger was a very active 23 year member of the Knights of Columbus Council #5514. He also served on their 1st, 2nd and 3rd Degree initiation teams in District 10 of the Green Bay Diocese. Roger was a handyman and enjoyed woodworking. Bowling was a sport he enjoyed and did that until he was 90 years old. Roger was very active member in Church activities at St. Gabriel Catholic Church and helped with Saturday afternoon Mass for many years. Survivors include his wife, Alvina; a brother, Delmar (Fran) Bramm, Rhinelander; two sisters: Alice Huntington and Lois Priebe, both of Wausau; brothers-in-law: Richard (Caroline) Gorski, Ringle, WI, Marvin (Phyllis) Gorski, Neenah; and many nieces and nephews. Roger was preceded in death by a sister, Helen (Larry) Haling; and a brother-in-law, Bob Huntington. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, December 2, 2014, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, with Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of Mass. There will be a Knights of Columbus Rosary service held at 10:45 AM. Full military honors will follow the service conducted by the Neenah Menasha Veterans Honor Guard and the US Marines. Interment will be in Restlawn Cemetery in Wausau.
