HAROLD JONES

Harold Casey Jones, Neenah, age 100 passed away at the Valley VNA on February 24, 2009. Well known by friends as Casey , he was born on October 25th, 1908 and lived all of his life in Neenah. He was the son of the late John Edgar and Bernice Zemlock Jones. Casey graduated from Neenah High School in 1925 and from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 1933 with a BA from the school of Business, with a major in Accounting. He was on the UW Track Team for 4 years where he earned his letter W . He was a member of the Big Ten Champion team of 1932. On June 23rd, 1932 Casey married Juanita M. Malone, an RN Graduate from the Theda Clark School of Nursing. They had a loving marriage which lasted for 52 years until her passing in 1984. Casey proudly worked for the Kimberly Clark Corporation from 1933 until his retirement in 1971. At the time of his retirement he held the position of the Property Tax Manager. After his retirement he served as Jury Commissioner for Winnebago County for 8 years. Casey was affiliated with various organizations including the Alumni Association of the University of Wisconsin, the W club of the University of Wisconsin, Theda Clark Red Coat Member and the Elks Club, lodge 676. For a number of years Casey also served as the Financial Officer for the Ridgeway Country Club and the Menasha Club. Casey loved to play Golf and Bridge, but never claimed to be an expert at either; although he and his wife were considered to be a very good Bridge team by their friends. Casey is survived by his daughter Mary Lou Rae; his two grandchildren: Billie Jo Miller (Perry and Erica), David Rae (Colleen); great-granddaughter Alexandria Rae; niece Delores and Clyde Abba; his sister Dorothy Markel; his special friend Mayme Kent and her family; various nieces, nephews and cousins. Private family services will be held. Caseys family would like to thank the compassionate staff from the VNA assisted living on Sapphire Court. Special thanks go to the day to day care givers Jenny, Jody, Jackie, Kendra, Angela, Deb, Kellie and Abby. It is impossible to name all of you, but you made Caseys transition easier on him and his family.
