RAYMOND KRIEGER

Raymond Krieger, 80, of the town of Menasha, passed away Friday, May 14, 2010, at Cherry Meadows Hospice. Raymond was born December 28, 1929, in Neenah, the son of Raymond and Anne (Reimer) Krieger. Following high school, Ray served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage to Margaret Schipferling at St. Mary Catholic Church in Menasha in 1951. He was employed as a foreman with American Can Corp. for many years prior to his retirement. Ray loved his music! He played the trumpet in different bands in the Valley. Ray and Margaret enjoyed spending time at their cabin up North, and they traveled in the United States after he retired. In the past he was an avid hunter and fisherman. Survivors include his wife, Margaret; two sons, Richard (Carol) Krieger, Appleton, and Daniel Krieger, Mountain; a daughter, Linda (Mark) Wintheiser, Neenah; his grandchildren: Alexandra, Tyler, Dakota, Dallas, John, and Adam; and a great-grandson, Brennan Otto. The Funeral Mass for Ray will be Tuesday, May 18, 2010, 11:30 a.m., at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Neenah, with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church until the hour of mass. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery.
