JOHN SPEARICK

John Spearick passed away peacefully at St. Elizabeth Hospital on Friday, June 4, 2010. He was born June 5, 1930, the son of the late John and Helen Spearick. He lived in the Neenah-Menasha area his entire life. John served in the United States Army and was stationed in Korea during the Korean War. He was employed at Kimberly-Clark until his retirement in 1988. Johns passion was golf. He and his wife Gloria spent many fun (and some frustrating) hours on the golf course. He also liked to cook, read, and dance to polka music. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria; his three children: Pat Spearick, Deby Netzel (Jim Fritz) and Greg Spearick, all of Neenah; and two grandchildren, Jill Netzel and Eric Netzel. He is also survived by several nephews and many friends. John was preceded in death by his sister, Alvina OConnell. A private family memorial service for John will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Johns honor. The family would like to thank the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital, as well as a special thank you to nurse Tammy, whose care really helped John and his family on his final day.
