LENARD DESSART

Lenard J. Dessart, age 84, of Menasha, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 15, 2010. He was born August 29, 1925 to the late Alex and Elizabeth (Schwatz) Dessart in Green Bay. On October 27, 1951, he married Ruth Covington, who preceded in him death on May 11, 2004. Lenard was proud of the 33 years he spent working on various Railroads. He also spent time in the Japanese Occupation Forces after World War II and was a member of American Legion Post 38. Lenard is survived by six children: Lenard Dessart, Menasha; Kathy (John Morris) Lindquist, Quinnesec, MI; Randall (Lori) Dessart, Niagra, WI; Tracy (Joe) Everson, Green Bay; Lawrence Dessart, Marinette; Roy (Mary) Dessart, Peshtigo; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and a sister Margie Clausen, Green Bay. He was preceded in death by his brother Carrol Dessart. The Memorial Service for Lenard will be held Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 4:00 P.M. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home, Rev. Mike Huff officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 P.M. until the hour of service. Lens family would like to give a special thank you to the Staff at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Home for their loving care of Dad.
