MARJORIE POPP

Marjorie Popp, 82, of Neenah, passed away Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Appleton Medical Center. Marge was born May 23, 1928, in Neenah, the daughter of Martin and Dorothy (Schroeder) Beyer. She was a 1946 graduate of Neenah High School, and was active with their class reunion planning committee for many years following. Marge was united in marriage to Ruben Popp on May 7, 1949. He preceded her in death on May 2, 1978. The Popps were members of Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah, and Marge sang in the church choir for 63 years. She was employed at the former James Rivers Corp. (American Can) prior to her retirement in 1990. Marge enjoyed reading, traveling, taking bus trips, and card playing. She was also a long-time volunteer for working the polls during elections in Neenah. She really appreciated all those she was blessed to call her friends and enjoyed her card parties and the fellowship they had together. Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl (Glenn) Reinhardt, New Berlin; her son, David (Susan) Popp, Neenah; four grandchildren: Bradley, Nicole, Sara, and William; and her great granddaughter, Zoe. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Melvin Beyer. The Funeral Service for Marjorie will be Friday, June 25, 2010, 11:00 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah, with Rev. D.J. Engelbrecht officiating. Visitation will begin Friday at 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. Interment will be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park.
