ROBERT PECK

Robert L. Peck, of Neenah, age 82, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Alten Haus in Neenah. He was born February 8, 1928 in Minneapolis and was raised by his grandparents, Michael and Anna Peck in Menasha; he attended St. Marys grade school and High School. Bob served in the US Army-Air Corps during WWII, stationed in Tokyo and the South Pacific. He was employed with Neenah Paper and Kimberly Clark for over 35 years until his retirement in 1987. Bob was an active fisherman and hunter and enjoyed spending time up north. He also liked watching the Packer games. Bob was very proud to be the godfather to five children. He was a member of the Neenah American Legion Post #33, the Twin City Rod and Gun Club and Paynes Point Hook and Spear Club. Bob lived his life for his four children and their families: Gregory Peck, Michael (Mary) Peck, Barbara Kealey, James Peck and his fiance, Judy Hillhouse; their mother, Helen Peck; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, Justin, who was his sidekick and little helper; and his long-time friend, Barbara ODonnell. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 25, 2010, at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Ingold officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery with military rites performed by the US Army and the American Legion Post #33 of Neenah. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service.
