MATTHEW KUEPPER

Matthew James Kuepper, age 84, of Neenah, passed away Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born January 16, 1925 in Glendive, MT, son of the late Mathew and Irene (Reimer) Kuepper. He married Irene Wohlers on May 18, 1946 in Oshkosh. He was a steamfitter for 30 years with Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 400, Appleton. Matthew entered the US Navy at age 17 and served during WWII. He was a member of the American Legion. He enjoyed gardening and woodworking, and had many fun times traveling with his family through the years. Matthew dearly loved his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Irene, Neenah; a daughter, Vicki Susor, Neenah; a son, Larry (special friend, Bernie) Kuepper, Menasha; a daughter-in-law, Darcy Rast, Waupaca, his grandchildren: Jack (Debbie), Pam, Heather (Bob), and Adam; his great grandchildren: Rochelle, Paige, Jade, Jenna, Matthew, Tommy, Angela, Shelby, and Trevor; and his godchildren: Michael Wohlers and Susan Larson. He was preceded in death by a son, David Kuepper, and a half brother, John (Pearl) Felton. The Memorial Service for Matthew will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, July 27, 2009, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Neenah, with the Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Visitation will be on Monday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in Matthew's honor is being established by his family. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Appleton Medical Center, 4th Floor, and Theda Care at Home Hospice.
