MICHAEL MCARTY

Michael D. McArty, Appleton, 54, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, July 31, 2009. He was born July 8, 1955, in Neenah, son of Ted McArty and Barbara (Schmalz) McArty. Mike graduated from Neenah High School and attended UW-Oshkosh. He was employed at Frank's Pizza Palace. Mike was a caregiver for his mom and the family. He truly loved his "babies", Fred and Ethel. Mike enjoyed camping, the Wisconsin State Fair and being with his family and friends. He loved being in the sun and going to the beach. Survivors include his father, Ted (Lois) McArty, Venice, FL; five brothers and sisters: Patricia Lassiter, Neenah, Timothy McArty, Appleton, Brian McArty, Appleton, Maureen (Mike) Lavery, Onalaska, Colleen (JP) Riehl, Appleton; a brother-in-law, Stephen Woolf, Neenah; and several nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Mae; and a sister, Kathleen Ann Woolf. The Memorial Service for Michael will be held Monday, August 3, 2009, 1:30 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Joan Spielbauer officiating. Visitation will be held Monday from 11 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home. To my big brother, To me you've always been my mom, my dad, my best friend and my roommate.
