RUTH SLOMSKI

Ruth Slomski, age 87, of Neenah, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 8, 2013, leaving behind happy memories for many. She was born February 1, 1926, to the late William and Jennie Tonn. Ruth saw the good in everyone and everything. She was most fulfilled when helping others. She enjoyed entertaining with her wonderful cooking. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting and had a great love of nature, passing her knowledge onto others. Survivors include two daughters: Bev (Art) Steger and Carol (Bruce) Levenhagen, all of Neenah; three sons: Rick (very special friend, Patricia Krienesky) Slomski, Neenah, Jerry Slomski, St. Paul, MN, and Gene Slomski, Neenah; seven grandchildren: Bruce, Jr., Kyle, Steven and Emilie Levenhagen, Randi Sue Slomski, Alexandra and Andrew Slomski; two great grandchildren, Konner and Jaden Slomski; a sister, Norene Stockman, Menasha, and brother, Bill Tonn, Neenah. She is further survived by her dear companion, Bob Bartels, Oshkosh. The memorial service for Ruth will be Thursday, April 18, 2013, 6:00 p.m., at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will begin Thursday at 4:00 p.m. until the hour of the service at the funeral home. Ruth was an anatomical gift donor to the University of Wisconsin, Madison, School of Medicine and Public Health. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Ruths honor may be sent to the Heckrodt Wetland Reserve, 1305 Plank Rd., Menasha, 54952. Ruths family would like to express their gratitude and sincere thanks to the staff of Alten Haus and Drs. Baltz and Wubben for their loving care of Ruth in her final years.
