NANCY REESE

Nancy R. Reese, of Neenah, age 80, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 9, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born June 23, 1932, daughter of the late Walter and Thelma (Pickett) Johnson. Nancy married Richard Reese and he preceded her in death in 1970. Nancy was a strong woman and a great mother of eight children. She was a wonderful cook and loved flowers and gardening. One of her favorite holidays was Halloween; she would celebrate by cooking a pot of chili for all of the children, so they could warm up after a long night of trick or treating. This created many great memoires. Not only did she love Halloween, but Christmas as well. Christmas allowed her to view all of the angels that surrounded her, such as her mother, and daughter Linda. Nancy will be sadly missed by her seven children: Rick (Michelle) Reese, Las Vegas, NV, Pam (Fred) Roden, Appleton, Gina (Gary) Johnson, Hollandtown, Mary (Steve) Ford, Oshkosh, Tim (Barb) Reese, Menasha, Kelly (Tim) OConner, Neenah, Kathy (Richard) Young, Hartford; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two sisters: Jackie Zielinski, Sherri (Jim) Hensen; and two brothers-in-law: Jim Reese, Bill Quella. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda; a grandson, Bradley; a brother, Bobby Johnson; two sisters: Nita and Ardys ; and two brothers-in-laws John Zielinski, Orville. Nancy, was the most stubborn and strong willed person, but when someone raises eight children on their own they have to be! Even throughout her last days she refused to give up because she didnt want to lose her family or her life. We just want her to know that we all love her and are glad she isnt in pain anymore. She is in gods hands now. Rest in peace great grandma, grandma, and mom! We will miss you! A private service was held for the family. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established. The family would like to thank the doctors and the nursing staff of 5th Floor Center at Theda Clark.
