LOUISE STANKEY

Louise Lohman Stankey of Neenah, age 95, passed away on Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Theda Clark Medical Center. She was born October 6, 1913 in Chicago, daughter of the late Carl and Emma (Stoltzman) Lohman. Louise moved to Oshkosh with her mother in 1919. She graduated from Oshkosh High School in 1932 and moved to Neenah in 1936. Louise was employed by Kimberly Clark for 30 years. She entered the business world and utilized her talents for color, design, and quality. As an artist, she also enjoyed needlework and sewing, but making jewelry with her lapidary class was her passion. Louise was a member of Noble Ladies and enjoyed world travel and was a woman of culture. Survivors include four cousins: Jim Hart, Karen (Jim) Buck, Jerry (Joan) Bitter and Larry (Sandy) Ebel. Louise is further survived by few other family members. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandy Marquardt, and Walter Marquardt, Frederick Parry, Walter Freedland, Aaron Dix and Jarvis Stankey. A memorial service will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank Sandy Beyer for her longtime commitment and to her neighbors for their special care, kindness and love.
