HARRIET GRANT

Harriet M. Grant, age 97 of Neenah, passed away peacefully Thursday, December 06, 2012. She was born February 5, 1915 to the late Frank and Catherine (Pehowski) Trader. On June 26, 1935 she married Forest Grant, who preceded her in death in 1993. Among her many favorite activities, Harriet enjoyed cooking, gardening, and canning. She also enjoyed fishing and dancing, but most important in her life was her family. She was very active in the community, having volunteered as a Pink Lady at Theda Clark, singing in the funeral choir at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, and was an Elk Lady of BPOE 676 Lodge of Menasha. Harriet is survived by her five children: Jean Zickuhr, Oshkosh; Glenn (Sandy) Grant, Winchester; Kathy (Don) Parker, Neenah; Marge (Alan) Johnson, Elcho; Connie (Ron) Hansen, Wild Rose; her 13 grandchildren: Lynn (Rob) Kleman; Cheryl (Gary) Calkins; Tom (Kris) Zickuhr; Tim (Marilyn) Grant; Jennifer (Steve) Haworth; Jane (Tom) Dawes; Jeff (Brenda) Parker; Mike (Margie) Madsen; Todd Madsen; Kathy (Tim) Guckenberg; Dan (Heidi) Hansen; Dennis (Barb) Hansen; Tom (Laura) Hansen; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her grandson, Steve Parker; her son-in-law, Chuck Zickuhr; two brothers, and one sister. The funeral service for Harriet will be held at 11:30 A.M., Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Visitors will be received at church from 10:30 A.M. until the hour of service. Entombment will be in Highland Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Valley Visiting Nurses Association (VNA), Neenah. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Valley VNA for the wonderful care she received during her time as a resident, and especially for the loving care during her last two weeks of life.
