HAROLD JESSE

Harold W. Jesse, of Neenah, age 91, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family on Wednesday, June 19, 2013. He was born January 15, 1922 in Clintonville, son of the late Gustav and Alma (Blankenberg) Jesse. Harold served his country in the US Army during WWII, being stationed in England. He married Doris Polk on June 25, 1949 in Berlin. Harold enjoyed woodworking and was a charter member of New Hope Lutheran Church in Neenah. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Doris; two children: John (Yvonne) Jesse, Cynthia John and her fianc, John Cloutier; six grandchildren: Ricky, Andy, Jeremy, Jace, heather and McKenzie; and a great-grandson, Jackson. Harold was preceded in death by a sister, Laverne; a brother Kenneth and an infant brother. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 24, 2013, at 11:30 AM, at New Hope Lutheran Church, 1850 American Drive, Neenah, with The Rev. Jeff Prewitt officiating. The visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until the hour of service. Full military rites will follow conducted by the US Army and the Neenah Menasha Veterans Honor Guard. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery in Clintonville. The family would like to thank Annie, Harolds caregiver over the years, for her care and compassion.
