JACQUELINE KING

Jacqueline Claire Langlois King, age 82, passed away on June 20, 2013, in Neenah, WI. She was born January 9, 1931 in West Allis, WI, and grew up in Madison. Her parents Ira T. Langlois, Sr. and Martha Osberg Langlois owned the piano store on Monroe Street and they lived in the family apartments on Randall Avenue where the current University Engineering Library now stands. She was a proud alumna of The Wisconsin High School, class of 1948. Jackie had many wonderful memories of riding her horses around Camp Randall and University Hill Farms in the 1940s as a teenager. She showed 3- and 5-gaited American Saddlebred horses throughout Wisconsin as a young woman. Jackie lived in the Madison, Janesville, Columbus and Stoughton areas and moved to Neenah, WI in 2007. Jackie cherished her years on The Farm near Columbus, and she was an outstanding cook. Jackie was married to David E. Williams from 1948 to 1959 and they had four children: David Langlois Williams of Madison, WI; Laurie Sue (Mark) Swan of West Allis, WI; Scot Thomas Williams of Lady Lake, FL; and Daniel John (Bonnie) Williams of Springfield, OR. Jackie married Charles Edward King in 1960, and they shared 50 years of marriage until he preceded her in death in 2010. Their daughter is Lisa Ann King (Russell) Gehrke of Neenah, WI. Jackies sister Barbara Ellen Rippe, and brother Ira Thomas Langlois, passed away before her in the 1990s and she missed them dearly. Jackie has 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, and 4 nieces and 2 nephews, who remember her fondly. Jackies death was mourned privately by her immediate family at Westgor funeral home in Neenah. There will be a memorial gathering to celebrate Jackies life at her daughters home in Neenah on August 4, 2013. Jackies strong and loving character will be missed by all who knew her. She fiercely loved animals of all sorts. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to the Neenah Animal Shelter in her name.
