LLOYD COLLIER

Lloyd Raymond Collier, age 91, joined his family in Heaven on Wednesday, October 4, 2018.  He was born April 8, 1927, in Polar, Wisconsin, the 6th of 14 children, to the late Festus and Carrie (DeHart) Collier.

Lloyd served his Country in the US Navy for three years during WWII.  He was stationed aboard the USS Cleburne, Dawson and Bollinger, based out of Coronado, CA.  Lloyd was very vocal about how his Country was ran.  He voiced his opinion in the newspaper often and he was very well spoken.

Lloyd had a very interesting life, traveling the country, enjoying everything.  He was a district manager for the western part of the Country for the Salvation Army. 

Lloyd is survived by his brother, Dale (Maria) Collier, Menasha; sisters: Shirley (Basil) Everson, Neenah, Fran Plummer, Winneconne; sister-in-law, Theresa Collier, Illinois; brothers-in-law: Bill Burns Sr., Oregon, Robert Elwood, Neenah; and numerous nieces and nephews; and 2 special young men: James (Karen) Bruntz, AZ, and Joe VandenHuevel, Menasha.

Lloyd was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 5 sisters.

There will be no formal service.  Lloyd would like to thank the Atrium of Neenah and Alten Haus for making him comfortable the last 10 months.  A special thank you to Jay and Jen for always being there.  Memorials may be sent to St. Thomas Church, 226 Washington St, Menasha, WI 54952.
