JANET CRIST

Janet L. Crist, age 89 of Appleton, WI passed away on April 12, 2017.  Janet was born November 6, 1927 to Edmund and Helen Bleier of Baldwin, WI. On August 25, 1948 she married Gale R. Crist of River Falls, WI. They moved shortly thereafter to Neenah, WI where they lived together for more than 35 years. Gale's death preceded Janet's on July 23, 1989. Janet moved to the Heritage Retirement Community of Appleton in 1996 where she lived until her death.

Janet is survived by five children - Barbara (Brad) Bergner, Burnsville, MN, James (Lynne) Crist, Eden Prairie, MN, Sandra Crist, Neenah, WI, Thomas (Mary Jo) Crist, Neenah, WI and George (Peggy) Crist, Alexandria, MN. She is further survived by nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Janet and her family wishes to thank the caregivers, both professional and volunteer, at the Heritage Hospice Residence for their compassionate care during her eighteen month stay with them. They truly do make a positive difference in the lives of the patients and the families they serve.

Visitation for Janet will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at the Westgor Funeral Home, 205 W. Doty Avenue, Neenah.  A private memorial service will be held.
