ANNABELLE RASMUSSEN
July 07, 1925 - October 12, 2010
Obituary
Anne M. (Ryan) Rasmussen passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2010. She was born on July 7, 1925 in Neenah to John T. Ryan and Martha Welch Ryan. Anne graduated from Neenah High with the class of 1942 and went on to work at the Marathon Corp. On October 22, 1949, Anne married Frederick H. Rasmussen in Neenah. He preceded her in death in 1954. Aside from a few years when Anne and Fred lived in Indiana, she was a lifelong Neenah resident. Anne spent her career in customer service with Twin City Savings and Loan until her retirement in 1990. She was a member of St. Patricks Catholic Church in Menasha and had also been a member of the Catholic Daughters. Anne enjoyed bowling and playing cards, but mostly devoted herself to her three daughters and their families. Annes greatest gift was her remarkable bond with children. She was truly Gods gift to the Little Ones . They were naturally and magically drawn to Annie and she made each one feel as if they were the light of her life. Annie was a fairy-godmother kind of grandmother to every little one she ever knew with an endless supply of kisses and cookies and Chex- Mix which will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of being loved by her. Anne will be sadly missed by her three daughters: Patricia (Ned) Kramer of Racine; Peggy (Paul) Verbeten of Neenah; and Freddi (Sam) Servais of LaCrosse; seven grandchildren: Katie and Kristy Kramer; Anne and Abby Verbeten; Sam, Bob and Dan Servais; and six great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister Patricia Gilbert of Menasha; and two brothers: Robert Bud (Shirley) Ryan of Neenah; Thomas Ryan of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. Anne was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred; and his parents; her brother, Dave Ryan of Menasha; sister, Virginia Jean Young of De Pere; and a special brother-in-law, Jim Apple Young of De Pere. A Mass of Christian Burial for Anne will be held Friday, October 15, 2010 at 3:00 P.M. at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Menasha, Fr. Paul Radetski officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Patricks church. Annes daughters want to extend their sincere thanks to their Aunt Shirley Ryan for all the special attention she gave their mother the last few years.

I am so sorry for your loss. I saw the results of the love and devotion that made your family so special and strong when my daughter played soccer with Abby and Annie. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

To all of Anne's family, I am so saddened to hear about Anne. I worked with her for 7 years at Twin City Savings-not sure if you remember me or not-I gave Patti a few rides to LaCrosse! I have many great memories of Anne, and how kind she was. I remember the girls from the Savings and Loan spent many nights "hanging out" at her house, and I personally would go over to use her "long distance" to call my now husband, Dave when he was in school at LaCrosse. Anne was like our "mother" at work, you could always go to her. And you are so right about children being drawn to her. I remember that when they would come in at work. I could go on and on. You all have my deepest sympathy in your loss. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I met your mom through bowling at Lakeroad Lanes when I was first married 20 years ago. She was always a ton of fun and we had a lot of laughs! Even won the league one of those years. Your family is in my thoughts.

Peggy I did not know your Mom. However if you are any indication of the person she was, she was one neat lady! You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Sara & Jerry.
