JERALD MOHNEN

Jerald A. Mohnen, age 69, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, October 24, 2010. He was born on March 30, 1941 in White Lake, SD, son of the late Joseph and Anna (Schroeder) Mohnen. Jerald moved to the Fox Cities in 1959 to pursue his career before proudly serving his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. On July 29, 1972 he married Rosalie Koch in Plankinton, SD and the marriage was blessed with 38 years, a son, a daughter, and a grandson. Jerald retired in 2000 from Graphic Package, was able to spend more time fishing, hunting pheasants, and using his green thumb in his garden. He was a loving, caring, and inviting man, who really enjoyed his beloved grandson, Mason. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Rosalie; his son, John (Becca) Mohnen, of Oshkosh; his daughter, Sarah Mohnen, of Neenah; his grandson, Mason Mohnen; his brothers: John, Jim (Millie), Philip, Leo (Donna), Ed, David, Paul (Nancy), Richard; his sisters: Betty (Merlyn) Kettner, Mary (Warren) Vinz, Jeanette (Bob) Priebe, Sharon (Bob) Beckman, Doloris (Alan) Waters, Theresa Ishmael; as well as many nieces and nephews. The Memorial Mass for Jerald will be celebrated on Saturday, October 30, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with Father Paul Radetski officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Jeralds remains will be laid to rest in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Stickney, SD in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jeralds memory are appreciated to the American Cancer Society.
