TAE KWON

Tae Kwon, age 78, of Menasha passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012, peacefully at home with his family by his side. Tae emigrated from South Korea in 1979 after retiring from 28 years of serving in the civilian service sector of the US Army. He worked at Wisconsin Tissue until his retirement in 2002. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. In his earlier days he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. His grandchildren were his pride and joy. Tae is survived by his children: Yong (Gayle) Kwon, Neenah, and Mia (Brian) Gauthier, Menasha. His grandchildren: Hannah (Matt) Schuchhardt, Chicago, Laura Kwon, West Bend, Becca Kwon, Missoula, MT and Nicholas and Mellisa Gauthier, both of Milwaukee. He is also survived by a niece Mi Sook (Jim) Orlando and their children: Andy, Melanie, Alicia and Tony. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Kun Kwon on September 1, 2011. A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2012 from 10:30a.m. until 1:30p.m. in the Star of Hope Chapel at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. We would like to give special thanks to the Orlandos, and ThedaCare at Home Hospice for taking care of him in his final days. Also, Sandy from Valley VNA and Dr. Baltz and his staff for the special care throughout the years.
