SHIRLEY BREENING

Shirley D. Breening, of Menasha, age 92, passed on into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 14, 2012, at AltenHaus in Neenah, after a lingering illness. She was born March 28, 1920 in Neenah, daughter of the late Garnie and Hester (Koch) Winch. Shirley married Leo Breening and he preceded her in death on April 26, 1972. She is survived by her two daughters: Beverly (Arnie) Sakis, Menasha, Joan Breening, Menasha; a son, Gary (Monica) Breening, Appleton; five grandchildren: Andy Sakis, Mike (Dawn) Sakis, Adam (Nikki) McAfee, Michelle (Matt) Storma, Cher (Glen) Wright; five great-grandchildren: Jessica and Ashley Sakis, Zack and Mackenzie Storma, Mackenzie McAfee; a special niece, Shirley Christine Chris Blemberg; and nephews: Karl, Curt and Marty Schrampfer, Tom Winch and Larry Krueger. She was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Schrampfer, and a brother, Jerry Winch. The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home with The Rev. Karon Sandberg officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
