JOHN RABIDEAU

John L. Rabideau, age 79 of Neenah, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was born May 9, 1933 to the late Lawrence and Leah (Simard) Rabideau in Green Bay. John was a proud veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, having served from 1950 to 1952. He moved to the Fox Valley in 1970 and spent time living in both the Appleton and Neenah areas. For 25 years he worked for Mrs. Carters Bakery as a route salesman and then took a job with Pick n Save in Appleton. Throughout retirement, John was a Red Coat Volunteer at Theda Clark Medical Center. He was also a member of St. Gabriel Catholic Church and the Hawley-Dieckoff American Legion #33. He enjoyed playing cribbage, visiting casinos and spending time with his grandchildren. John is survived by his five children: Lou Ann (Daniel) Green; Linda Keller; Laurie (Daniel) Overesch; David (Kim) Rabideau; and Michael (Julie) Rabideau; his grandchildren: Jennifer (Lee); Scott; Jeremy; James; Michaela; Morgan; and step-grandchildren: Alec and Jordan. He is further survived by two great-grandchildren: Alexandria and Kimberly; his sister, Elaine Rabideau; and his good friends: Tom and Ellen Mancosky, and their family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for John at 11:30 A.M. on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger St., Neenah, Fr. Larry Seidl officiating. Friends may visit at church from 9:30 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Mountain Cemetery, Mountain, WI.
