DOROTHY DACZYK

Dorothy B. Daczyk, Town of Harrison, age 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 11, 2009, at Oakridge Gardens Nursing Center. She was born November 5, 1921 in the Town of Carson, Wisconsin; daughter of the late Jacob and Josephine (Przybylski) Bikowski. Dorothy worked in Chicago after High School. She married Ambrose Daczyk on July 22, 1944 in Colorado; he preceded her in death on October 12, 2005. Dorothy lived in Menasha until 1977. While there she worked at Theda Clark, Gunderson Cleaners and the Menasha Hotel. Following retirement she and her husband moved to the Town of Harrison. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, canning, watching sports, and feeding her birds and cats. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Survivors include five children: Dennis (Lana) Daczyk, Diane Peachy (Jim) Zimmer, Carol (Mike) Weinandt, Richard (Mary) Daczyk, Joyce (David) Kottke; ten grandchildren: Stacy (Jeff) Zeuske, Todd Daczyk, Dana Daczyk, Jesse (Robin) Corry, Amber (Jeffery) Pfeiffer, Kelly (Marshall) Brooks, Jenny Weinandt (special friend, Jason), Dani (Jesse) Van Tassel, AJ and Dylan Daczyk; three great-grandchildren: Adam Zeuske, Jeffery Pfeiffer, Nathan Corry; two sisters: Jeanette (Chet) Olszewski, Bernadine Osesek; two brothers: Leonard Bikowski, Albert (Loretta) Bikowski; two sister-in-laws: Josephine Daczyk, Etta Bekowski. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dorothy was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Zimmer; four sisters: Agnes (Leo) Slowinski, Jean (Ed) Dzialo, Florence (George) Koslowski, Eleanore (Ron) Stinski; two brothers: Felix Bekowski, Henry (Doris) Bikowski; four sister-in-laws: Millie Bikowski, Angeline (David) Sankey, Jesse (James) Sherwin, Frances (Edward) Suchowski; two brother-in-laws: Richard Osesek, Peter Daczyk. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 15, 2009, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with Fr. Paul Radetski officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the hour of service. Interment will be at St. Marys Cemetery. A memorial is being established in her name. A loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. We love you and will miss you always! The family would like to thank the staff at Oakridge Gardens for all their wonderful care.
