LORRAINE DOBBERPUHL

Lorraine M. Dobberpuhl, age 101, passed away peacefully on Tuesday evening, July 28, 2015 with her family at her side, knowing Jesus' love. She was born on May 16, 1914 in Marshfield, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Leslie and Theresa (Siedler) Gepner. On October 30, 1937 she married Wilfred J. Dobberpuhl at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Shirley. Their marriage was blessed with two daughters, a son, and 58 wonderful years before Wilfred preceded her in death. Lorraine was a long-time member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Neenah where she enjoyed volunteering with the Christian Women's Circle. She was a very independent woman, living on her own, in her own home until her last days. Less than two weeks ago she traveled to Door County with her family to buy her cherry pie and jams. She loved shopping with her girls, and sending greeting cards for special occasions, which she always remembered. As a baker, she made the best lemon pies. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, who will live on through memories, cherished by her loved ones. She is survived by her children: Ann (Ralph) Buss, Winneconne, Glenn (Connie) Dobberpuhl, Neenah, Sally (Paul) Fitzgibbon, Neenah; grandchildren: Shawn Feld, Shelby (Craig) Robinson, Cindy Rausch, Paul (Alyson) Dobberpuhl, Adam (Elizabeth), John (special friend Andrea), and Kayla Fitzgibbon; great grandchildren: Stephanie (Dan), Kourtnie, Shana, Cole, Chase, Logan, Jordan, Raigen, Zoe; great-great grandson Braydon; a sister, Viorene (Sonny) Lloyd, Montello; sisters-in-law: Fran Gepner, Hartland, Norma Dobberpuhl, DePere, Marilyn Dobberpuhl, DePere; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Delbert Gepner, Violet (Norbert) Schmidt; siblings-in-law: Dorothy (Tone) Sitzman, Rudy Dobberpuhl, Frederick Dobberpuhl. The Christian Funeral for Lorraine will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 407 Oak Street, Neenah, with Rev. Tom Barthel officiating. Friends will be received at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
