JOANN MILLER

Joann Miller, age 87, of Appleton, went home with the Lord on January 29, 2010 at Cherry Meadows Hospice. She was born February 7, 1922 in Neenah, the daughter of Carroll and Adeline C. (Fahrenkrug) Rogers. She married Richard G. Miller in Neenah on June 27, 1942 and enjoyed 28 years together before his death on July 27, 1970. Joann was a Past Matron and a 50 year member of The Eastern Star, and a member of the Betty Rebekah Lodge. She was also a member of the Appleton Alliance Church. She will be sadly missed by her children; Jeanne (John) Faber, Knoxville, TN; Richard D. Miller, Menasha and Daniel (Kelli) Miller, Austin, MN; three grandchildren, David (Lorien) Faber, Knoxville, TN, and Justin and Jaime Miller, Austin, MN; and a great granddaughter, Maya Brielle Faber. Joann is also survived by her sister, Kathleen Tornow, Appleton and a brother-in-law, Thomas P. (Florence) Miller, Oshkosh, and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, her parents, Carroll and Adeline Rogers and her brother, Ronald G. Rogers. Joanns family would especially like to thank Joanns sister and best friend, Kathleen, for her support and for the special care she gave to their mother. Please join family and friends for a Celebration of Life on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Appleton Alliance Church. The Rev. Dick Schaefer will officiate. Visitation will begin Monday at 9:00 a.m. until the hour of the service at the church. Interment will be in St. Margaret Cemetery, Neenah.
