ELVERA ROBLEE

Vera Roblee passed away Tuesday March 30, 2010 at her home after a two year battle with cancer. She was born on July 29 1931 in the township of Caladonia; daughter of the late Otto and Anna (Kempf) Arndt. On November 11, 1950 she was united in marriage to Frank Roblee. Vera was a longtime member of Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church and served on several committees. She really appreciated her church family. She worked at Jandreys Department Store in Neenah until her retirement. After retiring she did some office and house cleaning. Vera had a passion for gardening and enjoyed the challenge of growing unusual plants. She also enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. She became an avid walker and even entered some races in which she earned medals. Vera enjoyed the neighborhood breakfast club and classmate get-togethers. She always had time to babysit her grandchildren and was thrilled when she got to see her great- grandchildren. She is survived by her children: Jane (Milt) Bailey, Wild Rose; Gene Roblee, Neenah; Jeff Roblee, Appleton; Greg (Brenda) Roblee, Greenville; her Grandchildren: Tom (Gena) Rosenow, Josh (Kenya) Roblee, Geoff Roblee, Jennifer (Samual) Seager, Michael Roblee, Anne Roblee, and Gladden Bailey; Her great-grandchildren: Jadyn and Aleyna Rosenow; Devin and Mason Roblee; and Kyleigh, Kadence, and Kenadie Seager; She is also survived by her brothers: Otto (Laverne) Arndt and Gordon (Linda) Arndt; Sisters-in-law, Nancy Roblee and Gladys (Clarence) Doell: and brother-in-law, Wayne (Mary Ann ) Mathison; and her best friend, Donna Atassi. Vera is preceded in death by her husband Frank, her parents, her sisters, Ardella Parsons and Shirley Mathison; her father and mother- in-law, Frank and Clara Roblee; brothers-in-law, Arthur Neimuth and Gary Parsons; and her nephew Kevin Arndt. Special thank you to all the wonderful friends and neighbors for their visits, calls, and cards. The Memorial Service for Vera will be held Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 12:00 p.m. at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3703 W. Fairview Rd., Neenah with Rev. Tony McKenzie officiating. Family and friends may visit at Westgor Funeral Home, Neenah on Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. A memorial fund is being established in her name. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Dr. Meena Thirunavu, Dr. Kevin Mortara, Dr. Todd Speers, their nurses and all at the Hospice Care. Mother: You were the Matriarch of our family and you had amazing wealth. Not with gold or silver, but with your heart, filled with qualities that enabled you to change peoples lives. Together, you and Dad taught us that true wealth is not the value of our possessions, but its value of our heart. It costs us nothing to get, but it can be shared with others and last a lifetime. You taught us to be giving without expectations, to be helpful without conditions, to be honest so that we have no guilt, and to be caring of others You taught us to be grateful for what we have and to look for the good in everything. Because of your heart, people were genuinely happier and their lives were more complete after meeting you. Your faith and compassion showed us that you truly were a servant of God. We will strive to live our lives with the values you have taught us, and our biggest compliment will always be that we turned out just like our parents! We Love you, we miss you and we thank you!
