LLOYD PRINGNITZ

Lloyd D. Pringnitz, of Neenah, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2010. He was born June 26, 1928 in Green Bay at Bellin Hospital, son of Viola Boettcher. Lloyd was then adopted from St. Joseph Orphanage in Green Bay by George and Helen (Schlender) Pringnitz of New London. Lloyd attended Emmanuel Lutheran School and high school in New London. On October 11, 1945 he joined the US Navy and had a 21 year career before retiring in August of 1966. While in the Navy he served on the USS Mindanao, USS Pine Island, USS Saratoga, USS Outpost and the USS Northampton. Lloyd also had four tours in Washington DC in the Pentagon, spent time in Japan and Antarctica to name a few. Upon retiring from the Navy he operated an electrical repair business in Milwaukee. Lloyd then moved to Neenah to work for 3M and then Badger Liquor for many years. It was in Neenah where he met Beverly Lautenshlager and they were married on September 18, 1971 at Martin Luther Church where he was an active member. He served on many church boards and committees which included YPS and starting the annual church camp out. One of his favorite past times was spending holiday weekends at a family cottage in Saxeville with family and friends. Survivors include his wife, Beverly; sister-in-law, Jane Gabrilska; brothers-in-law, Alan Lautenschlager, Gerald Lautenschlager and Thomas Lautenschlager; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Wahneeta Korth. The Funeral service will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Martin Luther Church, 432 S. Lake St., Neenah, with the Rev. Richard I. Krahn II officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Military rites will follow the service. Entombment will be at Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum. A memorial is being established for Martin Luther Church.
