LAVERNE RABIDEAU

Mrs. LaVerne V. Rabideau, age 92, of Neenah, passed away Monday, May 3, 2010. She was born March 16, 1918 to the late Harry and Cecelia (Wenniger) Wollenhoffer. LaVerne will always be remembered as a social butterfly; playing cards on Tuesdays and Thursdays, going out for fish on Fridays, and attending the movies on Saturdays. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved Dachshunds, gardening, and her flowers. After working for 15 years at American Can, LaVerne retired to enjoy traveling and being with her family and friends. She was a very giving person with a sense of humor; was very independent and a strong, supportive, and loving woman whose family was very important to her. LaVerne was also a long-time member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Neenah. LaVerne is survived by four children: Jan Fetters; Nancy (James Gibson) Rabideau; Paul (Mary Kosmerchock) Rabideau; and Kathy (Charles Ullman) Rabideau-Ullman; grandchildren: Jesse Parker; Michele (Christopher) Dettloff; Michael (Chris) Ullman, Kelsey (special friend Weston Brazee) Rabideau; Molly Rabideau; and Casey Rabideau; great-grandchildren: Kayla Ullman; Kimberly Dettloff; and Charles M. Ullman. She is further survived by her special niece Susan Cuisiner; great-niece Aimee (Lluis) Cuisiner-Garreta; great-nephew Jarret Cuisiner; and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Millie (Joe) Foley; brother Ray (Sally) Wollenhoffer, and son-in-law Ric Fetters. The Memorial Service for LaVerne will be held on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, Reverend Paul Holte officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in LaVernes name. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staffs at Cherry Meadows and Theda Clark Hospital for their compassionate care over LaVerne.
