Obituary
Jeanette McCreery, 86, of Menasha, passed away unexpectedly Friday, May 7, 2010, at her home. Jeanette was born December 18, 1923, in Chicago, the daughter of August and Kathryn (Conrad) Trien. She was united in marriage to Harry J. McCreery in Chicago. Harry passed away in August of 1983. Jeanette loved gardening and working in the yard. She grew the best tomatoes ever! She was an avid walker and in the past enjoyed dancing. Jeanette is survived by two sons, Larry (Lois) Schicht and Tom (Linda) McCreery, all of Appleton; a stepson, Harry K. (Diane) McCreery, Colorado Springs, CO; a granddaughter, Kimberly Brown and her children, Dalton and Taylor; step-grandchildren, Sara and Robert McCreery; and her beloved home companions, her cats, Apollo and Rocky. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Adam Schicht, three sisters, and one brother. The visitation for Jeanette will be Monday, May 10, 2010, 4:00 p.m. " 8:00 p.m. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Windridge Cemetery, Cary, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Jeanettes honor may be sent to the Fox Valley Humane Association, N115 Two Mile Rd., Appleton, 54914.

We are sorry to hear of Aunt Jeanette's passing and extend our love and prayers. Many fond memories we have of vacation and fishing with Aunt Jeanette. Hiking down a ROUGH, forest trail with two 70+ year old sisters, tackle boxes in hand, will always be a great memory. Even though one time poor Jeanette tripped over a fallen tree buried in the tall grass. Hidden in the 4 ft tall grass, all we could hear was "Ann!, Ann!" She got up, finished the hike, and showed what she, and her generation was made of. Glad to have had Aunt Jeanette in our lives. God Bless.
