Obituary
Robert Nesemann, age 61, passed away unexpectedly at home on June 17, 2009. He was born on January 3, 1948, son of the late Edward Nesemann and Frances (Perry) (Nesemann) Rian. He grew up in Algoma, Wisconsin, and moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan to attend the University of Michigan. This is where he met his wife, Marie (Ciancanelli) Nesemann. He majored in economics and political science and later attended law school at Loyola University in Chicago, Illinois. Robert and Marie married on August 5, 1972. They have three beautiful children. He practiced law in Illinois and Wisconsin and had his own practice in Appleton, Wisconsin. Bob could often be found playing golf even though he was plagued by yipps for many years. He loved to read, burning through many Barnes & Noble membership cards. Bob loved nature and had a soft spot for animals, especially his German Shepherd friends Mischa, Tay, Sassy, and Bella. He was a quiet and sensitive soul and a devoted and loving father. Robert is survived by his wife, Marie, Neenah, Wisconsin, and their three children: Ann, Carol, and Sam. He is also survived by his sister, Ann (Keith) Bailie, his brother, Dr. Sam Nesemann, his brother-in-law, Bill (Pat) Ciancanelli, his sister-in-law, Penelope Ciancanelli, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends, John, Dick, and Tony Charles, and Mike Reinert. Robert was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Laura Nesemann, and his nephew, Christopher. Christian Funeral service for Robert will be held on Monday, June 22, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home with Father Dennis Ryan officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 12 Noon until 4 P.M. and again on Monday morning from 10 A.M. until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bobs name.

My condolences to your family. I met Bob through the Algoma connection, Mike Reinert, and have played golf with him over the past few years. We also had a connecton since I grew up with the Kaldermans and Bob kept me up to date about Neenah soccer. It was always a pleasure to play a round with Bob and we all agonized over the missed putts.
