DONALD KAIN

Donald D. Kain, Neenah, age 79, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, June 27, 2009. He was born March 31, 1930, in Oconto Falls, son of the late Roy and Mae (Gonyon) Kain. Don graduated from Appleton High School in 1948. He served in the National Guard for several years. Don married Bernadine Scoots Opsahl on April 22, 1950. Don was employed with Kimberly Clark for 38 years until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and woodworking. Survivors include his wife, Scoots; three children: Chris (Kathleen) Kain, Jo Kain, Darrel Dar (Debbie) Kain; five grandchildren: Joseph, Colin, Ross, Davis and Danielle; two sisters: Marion Steffes and Midge Meyers; and four brothers: Richard (Rita) Kain, Morris (Betty) Kain, Floyd Kain and Wayne (Dorothy) Kain. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. A Celebration of his life will be held from 10-11 am in the Chapel at Highland Memorial Park, 3131 N. Richmond St., Appleton, on Thursday, July 2, 2009. Interment will follow in the cemetery.
