JOSEPHINE NEESE

Josephine M. Neese, 90, of Menasha, passed away Saturday, July 4, 2009, at her home. She was born January 14, 1919, in Crystal Falls, Michigan, the daughter of the late Henry and Sophie (Stoba) Kurtz. She was united in marriage to Earl Neese on December 13, 1940. The Neese family lived in many parts of the Midwest, including Menasha for the past 38 years. Josephine was a retired registered nurse. She enjoyed cooking and baking, knitting and crocheting, and most of all, spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughter, Earlette Micki (Delbert) Anderson, Rosholt; three grandchildren: John (Julie) Anderson, Barbara (Darrel) Miller, and David (Kimberly) Anderson; five great grandchildren: Makenzie and Gabrielle Miller, Jaime and Jaclyn Anderson, and Sarah Anderson; a sister, Angeline Lukes, Ogema; a brother, Henry (Lucille) Kurtz, Larned; and many nieces and nephews. Josephine was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; three sisters: Helen Ryan, Evelyn Lukes, and Jeanette Taylor; and two brothers: Frank and Louis Kurtz. The Memorial Service for Josephine will be Wednesday, July 15, 2009, 3:00 p.m. at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home, with Father William Kuhr officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. until the hour of services at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at the Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King.
