LUELLA SNORTUM

Luella Katheryn Snortum, of Menasha, age 78, passed away on Sunday evening, July 19, 2009. Luella was born on October 9, 1930, the youngest of four children born to Herman and Margaret (Joas) Eichmeier of Chilton, Wisconsin. Preceded in death by brothers Norbert and Elmer, and also a sister Loretta Mason. Luella married Arthur Snortum from Chilton in 1947. Together they raised five children in the Township of Menasha: Shirley (Ron) Schloemer, Waterford, WI, Gerald (Tina) Snortum, Shiocton, Beverly Hafemeister, Neenah, Sandra Kearn, Tacoma, WA, and James (Anita) Snortum, Shiocton. Following her husbands death in 1972, Lu worked at Theda Clark Hospital until her retirement in 1992. At the time of her death, Luella had eleven grandchildren, and 18 great grandchildren. Luella was a beloved, caring mother, grandmother, and friend. Our memory of her will remain in our hearts forever. Funeral services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park Chapel at 1451 Green Valley Road, Neenah on Wednesday, July 22, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Martin Ruge officiating. Friends will be received in the chapel from 12:30 P.M. until the hour of service. Luella will be taken to her final resting place next to her husband at Greenlawn.
