LOLA GANZER

Age 85, of Appleton, formerly of Menasha, passed away Monday, December 14, 2009, at ManorCare of Appleton. Lola was born October 30, 1924, in Canada, the daughter of Stu Forsman and Hildur Stockum. She was united in marriage to Richard W. Ganzer on September 15, 1941, in Canada. Richard resides at ManorCare. During her life, Lola was employed as a waitress, retail cashier, and was involved in the restaurant business. She was very proud of being a homemaker, wife and mother and enjoyed sewing, crafts work and was an amazing cook. She volunteered as the treasurer of NAMI of Winnebago County. Survivors include her husband of 68 years, Richard, Sr; three daughters: Penny (Pat) Bresnahan, Florida, JoAnn Balsis, Illinois, and Lisa (Greg) VandeVoort, Kaukauna; two sons: Richard W. (Rosalynn) Ganzer, Jr., Naperville, IL, and Michael Ganzer, Neenah; eight grandchildren: Jennifer (Gary), Ricky (fiance, Katie), Jim (Sarah), David (Laura), Rob (Karna), Greg, Beth, and Jayna (Tony); her great grandchildren: Chris (Tabitha), Jessie, Kristen, Justin, Liam, Lucy, Matthew, Anna, Valerie, Dante, and Nicholas; and her great-great grandson, Lucas David Richard. She is further survived by extended family members in Canada. Lola was preceded in death by her daughter, Diana, son-in-law, Rick Balsis, her parents, and other siblings. The Memorial Service for Lola will be Wednesday, December 16, 2009, (today), at 2:00 p.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Catherine A.K. Mode officiating. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until the hour of the service today at the funeral home.
