WILLIAM ROOT

William G. Root, of Menasha, age 78, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at Appleton Health Care after a lengthy battle with cancer. He was born June 25, 1931 in Neenah; son of the late Harley and Leona (Lenz) Root. He married Mary Jane Gerard. She preceded him in death. Survivors include two sons: Harold (Connie) Root, George (Mary) Root; a foster son, Tom Haskamp, four grandchildren: Brad Root, Kim (Dan) Michalski, Jamie (Peter) Gloede, Chad (Sabrina) Root; six great grandchildren: Megan Olson, McKenzie Michalski, Lindsey and Emily Gloede, Heather Root, Brandon Dishman; a sister, Helen (Wayne) Angermeyer, a niece, Judy Angermeyer, and two nephews: Bill and David Angermeyer. A Memorial Service for William will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Menashas Westgor Funeral Home. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 1:00 pm until the time of service. Inurnment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
