Obituary

Joyce A. (Wenzel) Albrecht, age 90, died on Sunday, July 18, 2010 in Woodstock, IL surrounded by her family when she was welcomed into the arms of the Lord. She was born on July 13, 1920 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late Ernest and Eleanor (Rumkewitz) Wenzel. Joyce graduated from Milwaukee South Division High School in 1937. She married Richard Albrecht on May 17, 1941. Joyce was a former resident of Neenah and a former resident of Fox Lake, Wisconsin. She lived in Woodstock, Illinois since 2007. She was a former employee of H.C. Prange Co. and a charter member of St. Marks Lutheran Church where she was a member of the Womens Fellowship Quilting Group. Survivors include four children: Fredric (Ann) Albrecht, Jacquelyn Quirk, Sheryl (Gary) Gee, Cynthia (Jim) Emrich; eight grandchildren: Jeff (Brenda), Steve (Carri), and Rick Albrecht, Barbara (John) Tsoris, Kathleen (Thomas) Westerman, Garrett Gee, Tristan and Elyssa Emrich; thirteen great grandchildren: Victoria, Caitlyn, Sydni, Ela, Olen, and Abrielle Albrecht, John, Katherine, and Sam Tsoris, Megan, Grace, Paige, and Aubrey Westerman; as well as many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, and her brothers, Alvin and Robert Wenzel.; and a son-in-law, Robert Quirk. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Neenah with the Rev. Stephen Dietzler officiating. Friends may call on Saturday directly at the church from 9:00 A.M. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Valhalla Cemetery in Milwaukee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Marks Memorial Fund, the Myelodysplastic Syndrome Foundation, or the National Blood Foundation.
