FLORENCE BECKER

Florence S. Becker, of Neenah, age 88, passed away surrounded by her family on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at Vallhaven Care Center. She was born March 31, 1922 in Appleton, daughter of the late Wenzel and Mary (Zachow) Sommers. Florence worked at Moon Jewelry Store for 50 years. She loved her catholic faith and was a former member of Sacred Heart Parish in Appleton and currently was a member of St. Margaret Mary Parish in Neenah. Florence loved to do crossword puzzles and she was an avid reader. Survivors include four nieces: Mary (Tim) Hewitt, Carmen (Arnie) Jones, Mary (Jim) Curtain and Margaret Sommers; four nephews: Dick (Patty) Kobinsky, Brian (Therese) Kobinsky, Joe Kobinsky and David Sommers. She was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters: Adeline, Ceal, Corrine, Helen, Elmer, Oscar, Wenzel and Sonny. The Mass of Resurrection will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church in Neenah, with Fr. Richard Allen officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in Appleton.
