WERNER JONSCHER

Werner W. John Jonscher, age 90, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2013 with family at his side. He was born on January 6, 1923 in Wembowitz, Germany, son of the late Alfred and Auguste (Rohnstock) Jonscher. John and his family emigrated to the United States when he was four years old and he went on to graduate from Neenah High School in 1941. After high school, John proudly served his country with the United States Army, where he earned a bronze star. He married Jane Ann Voigt on November 29, 1947 at First United Methodist Church in Neenah. The marriage was blessed with 65 years, three children, five grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. John worked for Hewitt Machine Company from 1941 until his retirement in 1985. He was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church, and volunteered with the Neenah-Menasha Boys and Girls Brigade for 17 years, 13 of those years, along with his wife, who was the Camp Onaway Nurse. He loved gardening, fishing, and bowling. He will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Jane; his son: John E. (Ellen) Jonscher, North Olmstead, OH; daughters: Mary Jo (John) Feldmann, Waupaca; Penny (John) Jonscher-Kipp, Key West, FL; grandchildren: Mark (Jamie) Jonscher, Medina, OH, Stacey (Mike) Kelley, OFallon, MO, Terri (Nate) Stallings, Medina, OH, Brian (Kris) Feldmann, Appleton, Becky (Keith) Buell, Grand Rapids, MI; great grandchildren: Sydney, Sophia, Zoe, Rose, and Gwen. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by Vern and Mae Voigt. The funeral service for John will be held on Friday, May 24, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Geisthardt officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the hour of service. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Neenah. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
