PEARL MILLS

Pearl M. Mills, age 90, passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2010 after a courageous battle of many years with crippling rheumatoid arthritis. She was born on July 20, 1919 to Mr. and Mrs. Henry Behnke on the Behnke farm, west of Appleton. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Neenah. Survivors include her sisters Lois Neumann and Shirlee Gauthier, and sister-in-law Elsie Behnke; Pearls children: Dr. Allan Mills and his wife Andrea, Pamela J. Schroeder and her husband Allen, and Joel S. Mills and his wife Mary Sawyer; and her grandchildren: Dana Roemer, Allan Mills and his wife Kasha, and Tara Mills. Pearl was preceded in death by her husband Gordon A. Mills, her brother Harold and her sister Eunice. The Funeral Service will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010, 11:00 AM at First Presbyterian Church in Neenah, with The Rev. Richard J. Moore officiating. The visitation will be Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home, and on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until the hour of service. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park. In accordance with Pearls wishes, in lieu of flowers, donations to domestic abuse shelters would be appreciated. Thanks to all of the doctors, nurses and staff who have cared for Pearl so lovingly at Manor Care Nursing Home in Appleton since 1995.
