BETTY GINTNER

Betty J. Gintner, age 88, of Neenah passed away peacefully on Wednesday evening, June 3, 2015 at Bridgewood Nursing Center with her family at her side. She was born on January 26, 1927 in Neenah, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Ernest and Mathilda Johnson. Betty graduated from Neenah High School in 1945, and worked at Kimberly-Clark and worked there until she decided to start her family. On November 19, 1949 she married Robert Gintner. Their marriage was blessed with a daughter, four sons, and 60 wonderful years before Robert preceded her in death on February 8, 2010. Betty enjoyed bowling in her younger years, then her focus shifted to her family where she would support them in their racing, and baseball, and other ventures. Betty was also a talented cook and baker. Above all, Betty was dedicated and deeply devoted to her husband and to her family. Her endless support and love will be missed by many, and forever loved by her friends and family. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten by her children: Thomas (Linda) Gintner, Oshkosh, Randy (Lynn) Gintner, Neenah, Larry (Sp. friend Marcia) Gintner, Neenah, Mark (Gail) Gintner, Neenah, Cherryl (Sp. friend Dave) Pratt, Neenah; 9 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, and her beloved husband Robert, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Ronald Johnson, Dorothy Zachow, Richard Johnson, and Ernest Johnson Jr. The Funeral Service for Betty will be held on Monday, June 8, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home with Rev. Battista Ceresero officiating. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of service. Entombment will be in the Shrine of Heaven Mausoleum at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Betty's name. A very special thank you to Betty's friends and the staff at Bridgewood for your companionship and care throughout the years.
