Obituary
LuVerne A. “Bud” Grosskopf, age 93 of Neenah, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, February 16, 2016. He was born September 25, 1922 to the late August and Frieda Grosskopf. After serving in the U.S. Army, LuVerne married Mildred Schnitzer in 1955, and she preceded him in death. He then married Beatrice Buss in 1979, who also preceded him in death.
Bud enjoyed spending time with his family and sharing stories with those he met. He was very social at church events and also liked to spend time rummaging and tinkering in the garage. He enjoyed reading, but loved spending time with his four dogs, most recently Toby.
He will be sadly missed by his beloved daughters: Cheryl LeRoy, Florida; Shirley (Todd) Grosskopf, Fremont; and Pamela Grosskopf, Shawano; his grandchildren: Charmaine (Dolph); Tina; Alisha; Conway; Ashley (Chris); and Kimberly; and great-grandchildren: Chase; Hunter; Jazquez; Hailey; Jayden; Bristol; and Izzabella. He is further survived by his sister, Flo Stueck.
The Funeral Service for Bud will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at Immanuel United Church of Christ, 118 Oak St., Neenah, Rev. Jennifer Czarnota officiating. A visitation will be held TONIGHT, Friday, February 19, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at Neenah's Westgor Funeral Home, and again at church on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until the hour of service. He will be laid to rest in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Gresham, Wisconsin.
