RAYFORD EDMONDSON

Rayford Ray Edmondson, 69, of Neenah, passed away Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Theda Clark Medical Center. Ray was born March 7, 1943, in Alabama, the son of the late Elmer and Altie (Yarbrough) Edmondson. He served in the United States Army and moved to the Valley in 1967. Ray was employed with Georgia-Pacific for 36 years prior to his retirement. Ray married Rosemarie Basler on September 7, 2002. Ray loved playing cards-cribbage and poker- with his buddies in the 206 Club. He was a voracious reader and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, Rose; his daughter, Karen (Rodney) Sanders; son, Christopher Edmondson; step-daughter, Carrie (Jim) Seubert; four grandchildren: Tate, Haydan, Samuel, and Joseph, all of Neenah; and a sister, Betty Lynch, Zion, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother. A memorial gathering for Ray will be Wednesday, February 13, 2013, from 3:00-6:00 p.m. at Neenahs Westgor Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established by the family.
